Job Description

The Intelligent Analytics Practice Area at Nielsen is a team designed to work at delivering advanced solutions to our clients to help them prioritize their Revenue Management, Trade Promotion and shelf Assortment strategies in-store to make their products stand out.   Consulting engagements will be customizable by client issues and will leverage Nielsen’s advanced modeling capability in this area, as well as integrate as necessary across other Nielsen solutions/assets to create maximum client impact.

In this role you will be responsible for driving sales, engagement, and consulting on our suite of solutions.   You will develop strategic relationships with senior sales, finance, and trade spend functions at our clients to deliver a strategic engagement that will help them win at retail. You will work with clients to understand their objectives, uncover opportunities to influence their pricing and assortment strategy, propose, and close a solution that meets their needs.  

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving a quarterly and annual sales plan that includes hitting revenue targets, client penetration metrics, and ROI sharing

  • Having  deep expertise around pricing and assortment strategies, and how to help clients execute  solutions and recos at retail

  • Thought Leadership in the industry; a consultative and credible approach to business; strategic thinking; being collaborative and part of a dynamic leadership team.


The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Math or related field

  • 7+ years of CPG experience, either in research, manufacturer, or retailer businesses

  • Strong sales mindset with the ability to proactively look for future opportunities with each client engagement 

  • Strong analytical  and conceptual thinking skills

  • Nielsen product knowledge

  • Well developed interpersonal , relationship management and teamwork skills      

  • Strong client orientation and professional representation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; project management and org skills

Please note this is 12 month contract role
