Nielsen‘s mission is to help marketers and media companies measure and improve advertising performance by accurately reporting on what consumers watch, see, or hear. As a Media Data Engineer in the Identity Platform Team, you will design and implement highly distributed, scalable, performant and cost-effective systems using the latest technologies, such as distributed compute, functional programming, complex orchestration tools, graphs and graph databases and identity resolution.
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or in a quantitative field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in server-side development using Java/Scala/Python
- Experience with ETL data pipelines
- Proficient understanding of distributed systems principles
- Deep knowledge and experience with Spark
- Experience with cloud services
Nice to have:
- Contributions to an OSS project
- A technical blog
- Published papers in a relevant field
