About This Job  

As the global measurement and data analytics company, Audience is Everything at Nielsen.  In the role of Client Solutions Manager, you’ll be in a unique position to empower producers, syndicators, networks, and publishers to better understand their audiences and advertisers across linear and cross-platform channels. You’ll be part of a talented National Media Account team, where you will manage the day-to-day relationship across a diverse group of clients. In the business development role, you’ll be bringing to market a comprehensive portfolio of insights and analytical tools designed to help our clients and prospects fully monetize their audiences by leveraging Nielsen’s measurement, digital, planning, optimization, and marketing effectiveness solutions. 

The position will be responsible for generating new business relationships and further expanding existing ones. The ideal candidate will possess robust written and oral communication skills, the ability to adapt to the needs of our dynamic environment, a strong response orientation, intellectual curiosity and a passion for data.  The ability to build and hone key relationships both internally and externally, and enthusiasm for television/digital media. The position also requires an ability to understand and articulate the value of Nielsen’s solutions to customers and prospects.


Job Responsibilities 

The scope of the role ranges from in-bound calls/emails and addressing linear and digital ratings and advertising data inquiries, understanding consumer viewership behaviors across screens, and maintaining knowledge of Nielsen’s Total Audience and NielsenONE products. The client solutions manager will be both client-facing and have the ability to develop strong internal partnerships to deepen his/her understanding of Nielsen’s full suite of products and capabilities. 

  • Become an expert in Nielsen’s audience measurement solutions, client needs, and technical aspects in order to help the client understand and evaluate their cross-platform audiencesInterface directly with clients in support of new business opportunities, client service, and consultative sales programs.
  • Answer client questions relative to product updates and product information effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Be a liaison between all the internal partners at Nielsen and external clients, and communicate and prioritize client requirements.
  • Be able to manage projects effectively in both team and autonomous settings
  • Conduct storytelling product demonstrations that highlight the value the solution brings to the client
  • Expand client relationships beyond traditional research groups and networks to grow revenue, with a heightened focus on streaming services and platforms
  • Identify opportunities and develop proposals that address the client’s core business issues and opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients for Nielsen products and services
  • Support team members across other accounts, and attend client- and industry-specific meetings.
  • Sales administration – maintenance of opportunity pipeline and contract management.

Core Capabilities 

  • Prepared to act as a teammate within Nielsen’s National Media organization with a willingness to share ideas, learn, and collaborate as is part of Nielsen’s inclusive culture.
  • Possess robust written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • An ability to adapt to the needs of a dynamic environment, and a strong response orientation.  
  • Intellectual curiosity, and passion for data, the ability to build and hone key relationships both internally and externally.
  • An enthusiasm for media, research, and the entertainment industry.


  • 3-5 years of professional experience in advertising, marketing, or media research (Client, Agency or Research/Publisher vendor experience)
  • Experience with linear and digital media 
  • Bachelor’s degree.  Focus on marketing/market research, statistics, economics, other social sciences, or quantitative fields preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and build a strong network. 
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve complex problems. 
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet all deadlines assigned
  • Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Nielsen tools
  • Most importantly – a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, ever-evolving tech environment
  • Accustomed to working remotely
