The Manager, Client Strategy, acting as an Account Manager, works on an account team dedicated to managing the day-to-day relationship with multiple Tech, Telecom and Travel & Entertainment advertisers.  In this role, the candidate is primarily responsible for new client business development, day-to-day client service for existing clients, and identifying potential opportunities for clients to subscribe to new products and solutions that address their key issues/needs related to all facets of Advertiser activity. These include linear/digital media, planning and outcomes needs, video/content and multi-platform research. The scope of the Account Manager function ranges from prospecting for new business, managing existing accounts and coordinating sales/service activities with internal, cross functional product teams. 


The Account Manager will be both client-facing and have the ability to develop strong internal partnerships to deepen his or her understanding of Nielsen’s full suite of products and capabilities. He/She will take ownership of a significant portion of managing both the client relationship and internal/external projects and relationships in support of client needs. The ideal candidate will possess robust written and oral communication skills, an ability to adapt to the needs of our dynamic environment, and a strong response orientation.  He or she will have an intellectual curiosity and passion for data, the ability to build and hone key relationships both internally and externally, and an enthusiasm for media and research. 




●Direct responsibility for select advertiser clients and prospects.
●Ability to work directly with advertisers in solving data-driven marketing problems with data, technology, and/or analytics
●Demonstrated ability to create value for clients through problem-solving and the application of Nielsen solutions
●Operate comfortably across different client disciplines – e.g. Marketing, Media, IT, Research, etc.
●Resolve all client issues in a proactive and timely manner.
●Communicate and prioritize client requirements.
●Develop solid understanding of each product and solution, and how the data can be used to improve business performance.
●Conduct client meetings to build and maintain relationships, with confidence/comfort while presenting to senior executives
●Draft client presentations that tell a story by translating data into key insights.
●Identify opportunities and develop proposals that address the client’s core business issues.
●Be a liaison between all the internal partners at Nielsen and external clients.
●Attend client- and industry-specific meetings.
●Sales administration – maintenance of opportunity pipeline and contract management.
●Domestic travel required (10-30%)




●BA or BS Degree with 3-5 years’ experience
●Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite 
●Knowledge of TV/Digital Industries
●High attention to detail
●Strong Interpersonal skills, highly motivated, strong orientation toward client relationships
