Job Description

NielsenIQ is building talent pipelines to meet future hiring demand. This is a pipeline role, while there is not an immediate opening, we want to build relationships with prospective match to our requirements, we’ll follow up with an exploratory conversation.

ABOUT THIS JOB 

We are looking to hire passionate and agile individuals who can take a high degree of ownership and deliver results in a fast-paced and evolving business division. 

The manager will be responsible for interpreting briefs in conjunction with client servicing teams, designing the analytic approach and executing projects. He/ she will lead a small team of product experts who handle volumes of transactional data and deliver standard and custom projects. 

The associate will be responsible for the overall growth of the team and talent management. The manager will build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to drive the growth of the business. He/ she needs to be dynamic and work as a team player within the fast-growing business division. 

As the manager grows in experience, the profile will require that he/ she starts contributing towards improving our analytical solutions, building value-added insights and supporting the Product Leader adequately on innovations. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Client Service and delivery

    • End-to-end responsibility of client projects 

    • Scoping the project to suit client business needs – thinking of analytical solutions to suitably address business questions 

    • Responsible for business revenue by managing quality and timely delivery of projects 

    • Actively engaging clients and managing client expectations 

    • Managing execution of multiple projects simultaneously 

  • Working with different stakeholders – Internal and External 

  • Leading the team and prioritizing work 

  • Developing and testing new analytic solutions 

  • Help in new client pitches 

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate must have a Market Research background, preferably with some experience in analytics and using large volumes of data or data wrangling. The candidate must be strong on practical business knowledge and how marketers/ aggregators operate in retail or e-commerce.

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS 

  • Critical/Must Haves:

    • Hands-on experience working with insights around consumer transaction data/ POS data/ Shopper panels / Panel and Data management

    • Business Analysis experience or exposure to gain/ loss analysis, brand switching, shopper segmentation, basket analysis, product affinities, shopper profiling, shopper churn, etc.

    • Experience querying and summarizing large complex datasets using any of the data processing and visualization tools. At least one tool like SQL, R, SAS, Tableau, Spotfire, etc. 

  • Other Qualifications

    • MBA (Marketing as majors/ specialization subject) with 4-6 years of experience in Consumer Insights/ Shopper Insights/ Data Analytics 

    • People management skills with experience in leading teams 

    • Excellent data interpretation & problem-solving skills

    • Adept in MS Excel and PowerPoint with good presentation skills

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Past experience with Kantar World Panel, Numerator, etc. or Consumer Insights/ Shopper analytics

    • Previous experience working with clickstream data and/or transaction data

    • Statistical knowledge – working understanding of basic techniques and predictive analytics is preferable

    • Client management skills – Should have strong success case examples of leading client relationships and servicing them to their satisfaction.
