The Global Digital and Growth Marketing team leads the digital marketing and advertising strategy, activation and optimization for the enterprise. Managing all marketing levers to drive specific outcomes for stakeholders including B2B lead and revenue generation as well as enterprise initiatives. This cross channel team develops and manages stakeholder strategies and execution on digital properties (including, email, mobile and social properties – proprietary and paid. 

The Manager, Paid Media will work closely with the VP, Paid Media and internal MarCom teams in cross channel planning, activation, and optimization of Nielsen paid media campaigns. Paid media is an essential lever in the marketing mix in achieving campaign objectives and driving business outcomes. Supporting the development and scaling of B2B and B2C initiatives.  The paid media team will partner with media agencies, media partners and MarCom team members to deliver on campaign goals and objectives. 



  • Nielsen Paid Media: Support the development of the B2B/B2C Paid Media campaigns leveraging paid media channels to meet business objectives. Paid Media practice spans all digital paid media channels including video, display, search, social, programmatic and native advertising. 


  • Paid Media Execution: Oversee and manage the development and implementation of Paid Media across all platforms working closely with internal MarTech teams and external agencies to drive awareness, leads & efficiencies.

  • Cross Channel Campaigns: Work closely with the broader Global Digital and Growth Marketing team across MarCom to support the development of media plans, understand goals and KPIs, and optimize paid media campaigns as part of cross channel marketing initiatives. 

  • Paid Media Channel Management: Partner with Analytics and Insights teams to assess campaign performance and identify key opportunities for growth and increased effectiveness



  • Play an integral role in planning, strategy/execution, and reporting of paid media campaigns

    • Guide media strategy/plan, including media mix and flighting

    • Assist in developing campaign media briefs for agencies/internal partner teams

    • Partner with Creative team to ensure media and creative strategy are tightly aligned; provide input and feedback on campaign creative that adheres to channel best practices and aligns with campaign objectives 

    • Project manage campaigns to ensure teammates and agencies meet key milestones and campaign launches on time 

    • Analyze campaign performance, identify optimization recommendations, and report on results

  • Directly work with media agency in execution across all media channels 

  • Deliver media performance reporting including weekly insights across channels

  • Be accountable for campaign performance and deliver cross-functional updates, analysis, and executive summaries

  • Develop and test new audience segments (i.e. retargeting, lookalikes, custom audiences, etc.)

  • Support ongoing creative and landing page experimentation and testing

  • Recommend new paid media tactics, concepts, and approaches to inform broader marketing strategy



  • 5-7 years paid media & acquisition experience required, with some B2B experience; media agency experience preferred

  • Direct response experience a must

  • Global/international media buying experience preferred

  • Comprehensive in-platform knowledge of programmatic buying, audience creation, campaign management

  • Experience with a variety of leading media platforms, such as ad servers, DSPs, video, social and native. Preferred executional experience with Google’s analytics tool set/DV360

  • Ability to strategically assess new opportunities and make data-driven decisions resulting in tangible improvements in performance
  • Flexibility & ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

  • A strong communicator with a can-do, positive attitude and a strong desire to get things done

  • Strong relationship development skills capable of developing, maintaining and growing internal and external strategic relationships across partners and functions.
