Job Description

NielsenIQ is building talent pipelines to meet future hiring demand. This is a pipeline role, while there is not an immediate opening, we want to build relationships with prospective match to our requirements, we’ll follow up with an exploratory conversation.


As part of the consumer intelligence UK omnishopper DA team the candidate will work closely with vendors providing purchase receipt images/e-receipts and carry out manual audits on a selected sample from these received images/e-receipts to manually transcribe the data and create observation summaries against pre-defined acceptance criteria for each of the data fields.

They will be required to present these results in a formalized manner to the omnishopper vendor relationship leader and other Nielsen Stakeholders on an agreed frequency (daily/weekly).


  • Discuss and define the manual audit scope with Data Science team

  • Develop understanding on the methodology for randomly selecting required number of images per retailer/e-tailer from the defined scope

  • Finalize mechanisms for accessing these images (FTP, URL, others etc.)

  • Manually transcribe the data from these images and store in a tabular format (excel)

  • Create presentable summaries from these tabulations in an agreed format 

  • Present these summaries to the omnishopper vendor relationship leader and other Nielsen Stakeholders on an agreed frequency (daily/weekly).


  • You should be highly motivated and self-driven without requiring any supervision. 

  • You should have finest attention to detail and should be passionate about analysing the data 

  • You should possess excellent communication skills to interact with a wide range of stakeholders coming from different geographical & cultural backgrounds

  • You should be willing to have an overlap between Indian & UK timezones for at least 4 hours to facilitate discussions with concerned stakeholders


  • Bachelor’s any graduate (freshers can also apply).

  • Preference given to Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Commerce, BBA graduates

  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to summarize & present the findings

  • A high degree of attention to detail, accuracy of the results and cross-validation of assumptions

  • Problem solving skills and the ability to pursue & implement different solutions

  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal & written (English UK and international)
