Nielsen’s US Panel Product team is looking for a skilled professional to join as a Product Manager.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU:

As the Product Manager, you have experience in an Agile environment, leveraging data to drive technology solutions and are hungry to learn. You are a Leader who is collaborative, positive, and driven. You are confident in your roadmapping abilities, and are able to pivot to changes as needed with your team. You have product management experience, are familiar with the TV and Audio Audience Measurement area, and are not only passionate about the products you are leading but also about helping the team you are working with be as successful as possible

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Driving collaboration, development and schedules with Data Science, Technology and Operation in order to  define and execute on deliverables for US Audio Panel

    • Own product discovery and prioritization

    • Define new product concepts and features

    • Understand the business requirements, align with the product roadmaps and partner with Technology Product Owners to develop user stories

    • Create business cases for new features

    • Manage execution and delivery of features and requirements in backlog

    • Regularly review the landscape and analyze User and Panelist feedback to improve product features and capabilities

    • Manage relationships with cross-functional teams to enable delivery.

    • Serve as liaison between the business and technical teams.

  • Evangelize product with internal stakeholders

    • Assume responsibility as subject matter expert on Audio Panel and Sampling products 

    • Provide product domain expertise on  technical implementation, and operational processes

    • Effectively communicate product status and progress to leadership and stakeholders

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum 2 years of Product / Program Management experience, or 2 years + experience in TV, Digital or Audio Panels

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ensuring clarity is a key success factor for this role.  

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.  Must be able to interface with development leads to make sure that product requirements are understood.  Basic abilities to read code and query databases is a plus. 

  • Experience managing midsize to large projects with multiple stakeholders, identifying key milestones, risks and assumptions, and measuring success. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Must be able to suggest workable solutions to development teams, and decompose complex problems into manageable units.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE 

  • Familiarity with program-level financial management

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies 

  • Experience working with offshore technical teams

  • Understanding of media analytics, including domain expertise areas would be a plus, but are not required for the successful candidate

  • Technical knowledge of cross-platform media / behavior measurement technologies and data, including any of the following: 

    • Media panels and consumer research 

    • Familiarity with Atlassian, JIRA, Google Suite, or other Agile Performance Tools
