Job Description


This position is key to ensuring surveys are scripted logically and that data collected shall be accurate to project specifications. He or she is expected to write scripts on key data platforms for survey administration (VBA, ConfirmIT, Survey-To-Go, Decipher), to ensure that all projects and automation project scheduled are carried out within standard procedures and specified instructions. He or she has the responsibility for managing the Survey Programming costs and productivity for the Operations & Delivery office in Singapore.


As a Survey Programming Senior Executive you will be responsible for the following:

  • Write scripts on VBA (macro), Java, ConfirmIT, Survey-To-Go, Decipher and/or other platforms as mandated by the leadership team
  • Act as Subject Matter Experts on project teams
  • Follow and assure 100% compliance to all SOPs standards on projects
  • Coach and mentor team members

1)     Survey Programming & Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Achieve delivery schedules with ongoing emphasis to improve efficiency, accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness
  • Discuss special requirements and provide technical advice to Client Service counterparts or clients related to the specialized area
  • Support Online conversion of projects
  • Track and find the root cause of programming errors, develop & implement action plans
  • Ensure project plans/schedules/issues are communicated with other related departments for further action planning
  • Ensure regular updates between different operation teams to ensure process and procedures are aligned and that there is 100% compliance to the process
  • Assure that project is managed within the approved budget (OOP) with always adding even more efficiencies to produce more savings on each project level to achieve productivity targets
  • Ensure data and systems back-up are created and maintained
  • Perform other related functions/tasks that may be assigned by CI Ops Lead

2)     Vendor Management:

  • The primary point of contact and relationship manager between the Commercial, Operation teams, and our Programming Vendors.
  • Work closely with Programming Vendors to:
    • Ensure On-time delivery of Test links, Translated links, Changes, Live link & Data to respective teams
    • Ensure Quality of the Links & Data
    • Ensure implementation of new programming tools or changes to existing tools
    • Ensure implementation of local & global standards/processes
  • Develop or support Programming Vendor to develop standard scripts & local templates or make changes to those as needed
  • Negotiate on timelines for quick turnaround projects
  • Ensure right programming cost on projects
  • Monitor KPIs

3)     Systems and Organisation Management:

  • Manage the local user pool on all Survey Programming platforms
  • Test and deploy update to Survey Programming platforms. Inform all stakeholders as needed
  • Provide subject matter expertise to Survey Programmers
  • Plan and conduct training when needed
  • Work with Commercial teams to ensure they provide FTR (first time right) material to programmers
  • Work on New Process development & Deployment, Process Improvement, and Process changes
  • Learn new Survey Programming platforms as approved or mandated by the leadership team
  • Work closely with Operations, Commercial, Vendors and Platforms and Tech teams as needed
  • Support implementation, keep up-to-date documentation and ensure global standards and best practices are followed
  • Work closely with the Regional team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation
  • Share and develop ideas for improving efficiencies

4)     People Management:

  • Communicate and assess performance objectives, competency lists and development plans for direct reports
  • Establish high standards of performance and hold team members firmly accountable for meeting those standards
  • Provide support, recognition and feedback to assist team members to achieve their performance standards
  • Act as coach, guide and mentor to team members
  • Ensure that team members are aware of the nature of their specific roles in relationship to the local market, the sub-region and overall regional operations
  • Establish a strong team environment focused on exceeding internal and external client requirements
  • Contribute to driving world class employee satisfaction through the implementation of relevant organisational initiatives that build on employee engagement


  • Qualifications in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Market research experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient in writing scripts on VBA, Java and ConfirmIT (optional: Decipher, Survey-To-Go)
  • The ability to follow and brief detailed instructions
  •  Work well under pressure
  • Well organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Good command and communications in English
