Our programs are powered by our people, meaning our employees are encouraged to identify and lead projects that are important to them and align with our strategy. They rally around the donation of skills and time to help nonprofit organizations through pro bono work, in-kind giving and hands-on community projects.

Our pro bono projects are anchored in Nielsen’s data, products and insights. Nielsen provides a holistic and objective understanding of the media industry in nearly 60 countries, and our expertise helps nonprofits maximize their impact through improved outreach, messaging, effectiveness and efficiency.

CREATING UNCOMMON IMPACT
Because we believe in the power of our collective impact, involvement and investment, we pledge at least $10 million each year in pro bono data and in-kind products and services. Nielsen donated $94.8 million in pro bono and in-kind data, products and services from 2016 through 2020, nearly doubling our goal of $50 million.
We provide 24 hours of dedicated volunteer time to each Nielsen employee annually. Nielsen employees logged almost 393,000 volunteer hours from 2016 through 2020, surpassing our goal of 300,000.
