CBS’s “CSI” was the number one primetime broadcast telecast for Thursday, July 17, 2008. But FOX dominated the top three with “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader,” which claimed the second and third slots, respectively.

Overall, FOX won the night — with an average audience of 8,042,000 viewers, while CBS took second place with 7,141,000 average viewers. Univision and ABC claimed third and fourth places — with 5,198,000 and 4,192,000 average viewers, respectively. NBC trailed distantly in fifth place with 3,971,000 average viewers.
