The Wall Street community bestowed high honors on Nielsen CEO Mitch Barns, SVP of Investor Relations Kate Vanek and the Investor Relations team by including them on the Institutional Investor Magazine’s 2016 All-American Executive Team rankings. The list is one of the highest achievements bestowed upon Wall Street professionals. A total of 1,032 individuals, representing 370 companies, appear on this year’s rosters, which reflect the opinions of nearly 2,040 investment professionals at close to 680 financial services firms. Respondents from the buy-side work at firms that collectively manage an estimated $7.1 trillion in U.S. equities.
Best Investor Relations rankings are an aggregate of ranks across eight performance attributes. In total, 1,221 portfolio managers and buy-side analysts, and 912 sell-side analysts voted across 45 sectors.
Voters are asked to nominate up to four companies for Best CEO, Best CFO, Best IR Professional and Best IR Company — are based on combined buy- and sell-side votes. A business that earns a top-three position in one of the four categories is deemed an honored company.
